Privacy

INHERIT exists to keep private moments private. We collect as little as possible, and we design so that we cannot read what you seal.

What we collect

• Account: your email and a display name, to sign you in and label who a moment is from.
• Capsules: encrypted content (ciphertext only), plus the metadata needed to deliver it — recipient label, the contact you choose to send to, the unlock time, and the kind (letter, voice, video, photo).
• Basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

What we cannot see

The content of your capsules. It is encrypted in your browser before upload, and the decryption key is never stored on our servers (see Security). We hold ciphertext we cannot read.

Who we share with

No selling of personal data, ever. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting and database/storage) purely to run the service. A capsule's content is delivered only to the person you send its private link to, at its chosen time.
